Clock Redo

For my wedding I received a really big wall clock. I really like how large this clock is and because of that I have proudly displayed this clock for the last 2 years. A few months ago, I caught myself looking at this clock and realizing how much I really don't love the face of the clock so I decided to paint the face and make it my own.

Clock After!
I am really happy with how this clock turned out. I was a little worried that after taking apart the clock that it wouldn't work properly but so far it is doing just fine!

Catch up!

I am so proud of Amanda for her craftiness and dedication to posting those crafts. I have finally decided it is time I join in on posting. Most of these projects were Christmas ones but I wanted to document them. So here I go.

Santa face 2011
As I was looking through my Christmas decorations this last year, I noticed that I didn't have a Santa. I really wanted to do a Santa decoration of some kind so I headed over to The Wood Connection and found this Santa face! I really like how it turned out.  I love painting!

Stackable Christmas tree 2011
Thanks to Amanda, I also made a stackable Christmas tree!

Christmas Tree Skirt 2011
Although I didn't put a Christmas tree up this year, I really wanted to make sure I was ready in case I decided to do so. Here is my Christmas Tree Skirt! Thanks to my mom, I was able to make a very simple yet cute skirt for my tree. I even learned how to make ruffles!

Spring/Summer table topper

My mom came to visit this weekend and we had so much fun staying up late and sewing and this is one thing that we made (and by "we" I mean she) I'm so excited to put this on my table for this spring and summer.

We just bought some cute fabric and cut it into 5" squares, sewed them together, added a border and then sewed some flowers on top. Cute! Thanks mom!

I did it. I decorated my Kitchen Aid! I've wanted to ever since I saw the idea on Pinterest! I love how it turned out!

Sunshine board

My mother-in-law taught my boys to sing "you are my sunshine" and they love to sing it with her. It's their special song. So for Christmas I made this little sign for her. I cute some vinyl with my Silhouette and attached the picture with some mod podge. Simple but cute...I think.

Yarn Wreaths

I saw these cute yarn wreaths all over Pinterest so I decided to make some for Christmas gifts. I also saw the great idea to get some foam tubing from home depot to make a wreath form. It was super cheap but I had a hard time keeping it perfectly round....as you will see in these pictures. I like how inexpensive it was but I'm not sure I'll use them again. We'll see. I got some yarn at the dollar store and then made these awesome felt flowers I saw here.
I think these are really cute and I want to make one for me. I hope the recipients like them as much as I do.

Piano student gifts

Oh how I love my Silhouette. Here is what it helped me with today. I made some little gifts for my piano students. First, I got some hand sanitizer, peeled off the labels and put some vinyl music notes on them.

Then I made these cute little boxes and tags with my Silhouette machine and some card stock and assemble them all together. I put some more vinyl music notes on the outside of the box then filled them with the hand sanitizer and some Christmas candy.

And there you go. Cute, homemade (mostly) gifts for my piano students. (And we made one for Nathan's preschool teacher...just left off the music notes)
